Fake News: BCOS Debunks Report On Mass Sack Of Freelance, Contract Staff

The management of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State has debunked a story on an on-line platform which says that over a hundred staff of the BCOS have been sacked by Governor Seyi Makinde.

In statement issued today in Ibadan, the management said that the statement was not only misleading, but false in its entirety.

The statement clarified that the BCOS management like any other organization has only requested all freelance and contract staff to re-apply and renew their appointments as a matter of routine within the space of one month.

The BCOS management described the misleading report on mass sack as fabricated falsehood and a sponsored attempt to draw the good name of the Governor into unnecessary and unwarranted controversy.

The BCOS management thus urged the entire public to be wary of falsehood emanating from any quarters regarding the affairs of the Corporation.
