Children’s Day: Oyo 2023 Governorship Candidate Counsels On Genuine Commitment and Safe environment For Children

2023 Oyo state governorship candidate Mogaji Joshua Popoola Olukayode Joshua popularly known as POJ has counselled government at all levels to be more committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for Nigerian Children.

Mogaji Popoola stated this at a special children’s party marking 2024 children’s day held at Omo Ajorosun club house, Total Garden, Ibadan.

POJ said this will enable every child in the country to thrive and fulfil their dreams and their potentials with less difficulties and obstacles.

Commenting on the theme, ‘Enhancing the Total Well-being of the Nigerian Child Through Quality Education and Skills Development,’ Popoola stressed that it becomes important to equip every child not only with quality formal education but with vocational skills imbibed in them by nature as everyone have his or her God given talents.

He said education must be at the heart of every government’s efforts to uplift children and to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

He further stressed that the theme for this year’s celebration was appropriate in light of current international best practices in the sector calling on parents and other stakeholders not to relent in their efforts to prepare the children for the future.

“For me, my commitment to investing in their well-being and future success is at the front burner of my agenda, the reason social welfare and well-being, quality education and human capital development are uppermost in my manifestoes during the 2023 general election.

Mogaji Popoola encouraged the children to realise that their potential was limitless, advising them to strive to be the best in all their endeavours, to complement efforts at building a brighter future for their sake and Nigeria as a whole.
