OYSCOHEST Organises Orientation Programme For Newly Recruited Staff

In its determined effort at ensuring efficiency for optimum performance geared towards moving Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (OYSCOHEST) forward, the Management of the College ably led by Pharmacist (Mrs) Oluyemisi Oyewo has organised a day Orientation Programme for the newly recruited staff and others below Grade Level 12.
The orientation programme featured invited professionals in various fields.
The resource persons delivered lectures on the following topics: Work Ethics and Code of Conduct delivered by the Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Office of the Head of Service, Mr P.O.A Oyekunle; Discipline and Integrity in the Civil/Public service delivered by the Director of Personnel, Civil Service Commission, Mr O.A Ojelabi.
Other topics exhaustively discussed were Public Accountability/Financial Embarrassment by the Director, Finance and Public Accounts, office of the Accountant General, Mr. O.O Kilanko and Handling Confidentiality in the Public/Civil Service by the Director, Employee Mobility Relations/ Planning, Office of the Head of Service, Mr. J. T. Adelowo.
Welcoming the participants, the Acting Registrar of the College, Mrs Dupe Ayoola urged the new staff to be attentive and make the good use of the opportunity to improve their respective official duties.
In her opening address at the orientation programme, the Acting Provost of the College, Pharmacist Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo
congratulated the newly employed staff for their appointment, urging them to contribute their quota towards the progress and development of the College.
She implored them to see their recruitment into the service of the College as a privilege and admonished them to be hardworking, dedicated and committed to their duties.
In his goodwill message, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Olusoji Alaruru Adeyanju commended the Management for organising such an Orientation Programme which he described as an impetus for optimal efficiency.
Questions asked by some of the participants at the programme were answered by the resource persons.
Some of the newly recruited staff including Mr Saheed Adedayo Adebisi of the College Registry and a Lecturer, Mr Rasaq Olowookere expressed their delight over the lectures delivered at the Orientation Programme saying they were enlightened and exposed to the rudiments of Public / Civil Service.
They promised to do their best to move the College forward as they appreciated the Management for organising the programme.
Oyo State College Of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan was established on 1st April, 1933 to train middle level Health Care Providers.
