Oyo PDP Stalwart, Oladoja Warns Judiciary Against Removal of President Tinubu

..cautions CJN against repeat of Awolowo saga

Monday July 17, 2023

Following the warning by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu handed over to the Nigeria judiciary not to tamper with his electoral, Oyo State stalwart of the ruling party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and close associate of Governor Seyi Makinde, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja has caution the judiciary not to caused chaos and anarchy in the country.

Oladoja in a statement in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Monday said the call by President Bola becomes neccesary because of the experience of the past.

The Mogaji of Akinsola’s compound, Ibadan who toed the line of Tinubu warned that nullifying the February 25 election that produced President Tinubu on account of the fact that he did not score 25% of the lawful votes cast during the election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) could indeed throw the nation into anarchy.

Oladoja said from all constitutional and legal angle on whose sovereignty of Nigeria is governed is not familiar with the country’s electoral laws.

Oladoja stated that from all indications and premises, it seems that there are ethnic agenda by some “unscrupulous politician from other part of the country who are not comfortable with how Tinubu has tackled many problems confronting the nation.

According to Oladoja, “Nigeria belongs to all of irrespective of our colour, race, ethnicity, religion and social status hence the for equal distribution of the nation’s wealth.

From the way things are now, I observed that judiciary which is the last hope of a common man may be explored to perpetuate their evil plans. ”

Oladoja then urged the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Rt Hon Justice Ariwoola not to toe the lines of late legal luminary, Late Justice Richard Akinjide, Late jury, Sowemimo among others who threw the chances of the late sage, Obafemi Awolowo into the dustbin for selfish reasons.

The well respected Mogaji in Ibadan reminded Kayode Ariwoola of posterity which may not come on time, but eventually come.

“I want to call on all well spirited Nigerians not minding where you belong to, to support the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government for us to reposition Nigeria.

Let me also put on record that former President Muhammadu Buhari only presented his NEPA bill to vied for the nation’s topmost job, why now the hulaballo over the credentials of Tinubu. Like I said, we will never until justice is done. ”

He added that in Oyo state, anyone against Tinubu is Against Seyi Makinde and anyone working against Seyi Makinde is working against the success of the state and such may be calling for anarchy.

It would be recalled that Tinubu’s submissions were contained in his final written address against the two petitions pending at the PREPEC.

The five-member panel had on July 5, given the respondents in the two separate petitions 10 days to file their written address, while the petitioners were given seven days to reply.

Both Atiku and Obi, alongside their respective parties, had dragged INEC before the PREPEC for declaring Tinubu and the APC winner of the presidential election.

Amongst the reliefs they seek is the nullification of Tinubu’s election on the grounds that INEC did not substantially comply with the guidelines and regulations for the conduct of the 2023 general elections and relevant electoral laws.
