*Okachi’s lone strike seals win for Shooting Stars over Bayelsa Utd*

Anthony Okachi’s 15th minute goal was enough to earn Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), all points as the Oluyole Warriors beat Bayelsa United 1-0.

It was the striker’s second goal in consecutive game, having scored the only goal in the team’s 1-2 loss to Ikorodu United last weekend.

The Oluyole Warriors started the game on high, making an early push for the opener but were unable to hit the target, with Okachi and Samuel Ayanrinde unlucky..

The Stars’ relentless efforts paid off in the 15th minute as Okachi was on hand to fire the ball in after Ayanrinde slipped in the first attempt.

Despite creating further chances, the Ibadan soccer lords failed to increase the tally till the end of the first half.

The second half saw the coach Ladan Bosso tutored lads throw everything into the game, but found the 3SC defense too hard to break, with goalkeeper .Mustapha Lawal coming to the rescue on few ocassions.

In spite of Bayelsa United’s late surge, Shooting Stars were able to hold on, till referee Andrew Eze brought proceedings to an end

The victory lifts Shooting Stars to the ninth spot on the log with 18 points from 13 matches and the Stars will next make a trip to Ikenne for a southwest derby against Remo Stars in a midweek fixture.
