Niger Delta Militant Leader Backs Tinubu Over Alleged Genocide Claims —Dokubo
Asari Dokubo has stated that the claims that there is persecution or genocide of Christians in Nigeria under President Tinubu are not true.
In a video Dokubo shared on his Facebook account on Thursday, December 4, 2025, he said Tinubu’s wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu is a Christian, and his son, Seyi, is not a Muslim.
Dokubo said Tinubu’s daughter, Mrs. Ojo, is a Muslim but is married to a Christian. He said the president’s own household is made up of people from different religions living peacefully. He said it does not make sense to accuse Tinubu of supporting any religious persecution.
In Dokubo’s words: “When you look at Tinubu now do you think Tinubu will have anything to do with religious crisis? His wife is a Christian, his son Seyi that is everywhere is not a Muslim which everybody knows, Tinubu himself knows Seyi is not Muslim and his wife is not a Muslim. His daughter Mrs Ojo eventhough she is a Muslim she is married to a Christian. Why can’t we tell ourselves the raw truth?”
