Ministerial Hopeful, Adeduntan Hails President Tinubu On ECOWAS Election As Chairman

World Revered Cardio Vascular Surgeon and a Ministerial hopeful from Oyo State -Chief (DR) AZEEZ ADEDUNTAN,has joined other well-wishers to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his emergence as the new chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

President Tinubu on Sunday succeeded Umaro Embalo of Guinea Bissau as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS.

Adeduntan in a statement issued in Abuja and made available to newsmen expressed his joy for the new fatherly role that President Tinubu will henceforth play in West Africa.

He expressed optimism that the tenure of Tinubu as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government will see to the development of democracy in the sub-region.

He stated that Nigerian President emergence is a positive signal of Nigeria’s leadership in the sub-region, Africa and the world.

The Nigerian leader emergence,which was by unanimous endorsement according to the Osi Basorun of Ibadan land ; signals the trust other West African nations had in Nigeria as a true giant of Africa.

Adeduntan added that he believes Tinubu’s government will usher in a robust economic development and growth for West African nations and Nigeria specifically.

He prayed for continued wisdom and strength for President Tinubu to pilot the affairs of Nigeria and his new role.
