Fuel Scarcity: Desist From Hoarding Petroleum Products – PMTF Cautions Marketers

The leadership of Petroleum Marketers Task Force (PMTF), Oyo State has cautioned petroleum marketers in the state not to hoard the product and thereby creating artificial scarcity in the state.

The Chairman of the recently constituted task force in Oyo State, Prince Ajibola Ayetan gave this warning in a release on Monday.

Prince Ajibola explained that there is no reason why the product should be hoard by anyone either for fear of increased in pump price or unavailability.

He stated that going by the information at his disposal, there is no reason for scarcity as there are enough petroleum products to go round the country.

Ayetan described the attitudes of few marketers who are allegedly hoarding the price or selling at high rate as economy sabotage which will not be condone.

He assured that members of the task force are putting in place machineries to ensure such Perpetrators are made to face the consequences of their action.

It would be recalled that Association of Nigeria Refineries Petroleum Marketers recently appointed Ajibola Ayetan as Chairman, Petroleum Marketers Task Force.

Until his appointment, he is the Managing Director, Silver Shield Limited.
