At Last, Emefiele Appears Before House Of Reps Committee On Cashless Policy

Following the threat by the Nigeria House of Representatives to issue warrant of arrest on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor on Tuesday afternoon appeared before the special ad-hoc committee of the House investigating the cashless policy of the CBN and the deadline set for the old bank notes, at about 12pm on Tuesday, the CBN Governor walked into the House of Representatives Hearing Room 301.

The Leaderof the House of Representatives Alhassan Ado Doguwa said Emefiele’s appearence at the chamber was a victory for democracy and Nigerians.
