APC Will Take Over Governance of Anambra in November – NWC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in winning the forthcoming November 2025 off-cycle governorship election in Anambra State.

The party’s National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, made this assertion while speaking on a TVC television program in Abuja on Wednesday. He emphasized that the APC is determined to add Anambra to its growing list of states in the South East geopolitical zone.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the notice and timetable for the Anambra governorship election. Our party is focused on delivering Anambra for the APC. As the party with the most states in the Southeast region, currently governing Imo and Ebonyi, we are working assiduously to take over the mantle of leadership in Anambra in the next gubernatorial election,” Bashiru stated.

He further stressed that the APC remains undistracted by any plots or tactics aimed at derailing its focus. According to him, the party is fully committed to the upcoming election. The former senator and party’s National Secretary affirmed that the APC is focused and poised for victory.

The APC, which recently retained control of Ekiti and Ondo states while reclaiming Edo, is now aiming to add Anambra to its growing list of states to further its agenda of good governance and renewed hope. The party has scheduled its primaries in Anambra for April 5 and is committed to ensuring the emergence of a strong candidate capable of securing victory at the polls and making Anambra an APC-governed state, as this remains the overarching goal of the party and its National Working Committee.
