Make A Positive Different, Says Ondo Deputy Governor

**” Charges Graduates of Skill Acquisition Training.

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa earlier today charged the beneficiaries of Ondo State Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme to always be a reference point of the good work of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON on youth empowerment and development.

Aiyedatiwa made this charge at the graduation ceremony of the successful beneficiaries of Ondo State Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme organised in conjunction with Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur Internationale Zusammenenarbeit ( GIZ ) held at Ondo State Information Technology Agency ( SITA ), Akure on Tuesday.

The programme was organized by the Office of Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Empowerment, led by SSA to Governor on Empowerment, Hon Lincoln Afolabi Ojo.

Aiyedatiwa who was represented at the event by the Deputy Chief of Staff, office of Deputy Governor, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa said, he felt happy at the new breed of youths emerging through the Ondo State Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme of the present administration.

“This graduation ceremony further speaks volumes about the avowed determination of Mr Governor to ensure that the youths of Ondo State are equipped with entrepreneurial skills as encapsulated in the REDEEMED Agenda”, he said.

“You have been trained in various skills including fashion design, entrepreneurship and digital inclusion for SMEs, brand management for creative, photography, content writing and host of others.”

“These are skills that would definitely take you out of the labour market; from job seekers to job providers” .

“By this, you all would be able to contribute to the economic growth of the Sunshine State,” declared Aiyedatiwa.

The Deputy Governor further counselled the graduates not to be distracted but to face the future with optimism as their hard work and good heart would take them very far .

He also acknowledged the implementing organ of the programme and its foreign partner for the wonderful feat.

Earlier, SSA to Governor on Empowerment, Hon Lincoln Afolabi Ojo in his welcome address expressed gratitude to Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON for establishing his office which has come to stay in cushioning the effects of idleness among the youths and for them to acquire skills and vocational training that would translate to self reliance and wealth creation.
