We Are Poised To Reclaim Agodi Government House in 2027___ Oyo APC Chairman

The acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state, Alhaji Olayide Abas has assured that the Party would return to power by reclaiming the governorship seat from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027 stating that his optimism stemmed from the readiness of all stakeholders to work together as a member of the same family.

Abas made this submission on Wednesday while addressing party leaders and stalwarts from the six local government councils in Ibadan Outer City Zone who paid him a solidarity visit in Oke-Ado, Ibadan State Secretariat of the Party.

The visiting stakeholders led by Alhaji Kamoru Ajisafe, Chief Kunle Sanda, Hon. Lekan Adeyemo and Alhaji Isiaka Alimi expressed their strong belief in the ability of the former chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board to steer the ship of the APC in the state while they also pledged their unflinching support and loyalty in the interest of party and its teeming members.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alh. Ajisafe applauded the acting chairman on the renewed efforts being put in place to enforce unity, stability and discipline among party faithful. His words; “We have observed that our new chairman is focused on bringing Oyo APC back to the part of stability, cohesion and progress. But we are not surprised in view of his track record of discipline, diligence and passion for the progressivism. On this new journey, we have no doubt that we will succeed together.”

In his response, Alh. Abas described Ibadan Outer City Zone as very vital to the cause of repositioning the party. “With array of eminent personalities in this delegation and the message you have passed with your visit today, I am happy to state that our Party is ready for the challenges ahead and we shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that APC return to power in Oyo state in 2027. I have met virtually all the stakeholders across the state and I can tell you categorically that enduring peace and harmony has returned to our party.

“Almost everyone who left the party in the build up to the last general election is back while we have been receiving requests from members of other political parties, including the ruling PDP, to join the APC. We were in Ibadan North last week to receive hundreds of former PDP chieftains into our Party and there are strong indications that the trend will continue unabated. In other words, we are working round the clock to further entrench the fact that APC is the party to beat in the state anytime.” Abas said.

Members of the visiting stakeholders included; Alhaji Rasaki Akilapa, Bashorun Billy Ogundele, Barr. Yemi Aderibigbe, Alh. Yinka Folarin, Hon. Kunle Jenrade, Hon. Remi Adebayo, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Alesinloye, Hon. Wahala Oladejo, Alh. Kamoru Adeoye, Hon. Shina Adeagbo, Hon. Dauda Lawal among others.
