2023 Election: Why I’m Supporting Tinubu, Makinde – Oyo APC Guber Aspirant
As the nation approaches the 2023 General Elections, one of the Oyo State gubernatorial aspirants under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Dr. Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has thrown his weight behind the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde who is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for governorship in Oyo State.
Adeduntan who is also the Osi Basorun of Ibadanland and a Prince in Oyo kingdom made this known to journalists during a media parley at his Alakia, Ibadan office.
Chief (Dr) Adeduntan explained that as a true and sincere partyman, it is important and cultured for him to support the candidate of his party.
He stated that apart from the fact that Tinubu is a well respected APC National leader, his antecedents as an administrator per excellence is open for everyone to see.
Speaking on his decision to support the re-election of Gov Seyi Makinde, the international surgeon said as a responsible and responsive leader and political gladiator in the state, he owes it a point of duty to protect and advocate the good governance being currently enjoyed in the State.
He added that Gov Makinde like Asiwaju Tinubu is a leader that is leading with passion who had ensured equitable distribution of the state patrimony and not relegating one zone to favour others.
He then called on all his supporters to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria President and Engr Seyi Makinde as governor of Oyo State to witness all round development in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
