South West APC Support Groups Council Felicitates Yoruba Leader Fasoranti @ 100
The Deputy Director-General, (DDG), Hon Adewale Adeogun, Leadership and entire members of South West APC Support Groups Council (APC- SGC) on Monday congratulate the leader of Yoruba Socio-Cultural group, Afenifere as he turned 100.
In a release signed by the group zonal secretary, Anthony Enahoro and made available to journalists by Olamilekan Lamidi, the media aide said the group bow its heads in reverence and raises voices in gratitude to Almighty God as the Elderstateman, Afenifere Leader, and a Living Archive of Yoruba Integrity, Pa Reuben Fasoranti celebrates His 100 years Anniversary.
“There is no disputing the fact that your birthday anniversary is worthy of celebration based on your antecedent, accomplishments and visionary leadership qualities, and coupled with the fact that a century is not just a number but a testimony and proof that God still preserves men whose lives are large than themselves.
“Sir, you belong to the generation that built post- independence Nigeria with sweat.
“From the days of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s free education and UPN’s welfarist vision, you stood where Afenifere stood; for true federalism, for justice, for the dignity of the Yoruba people within a united Nigeria.
“Baba, the greatest gift you leave for us is not stories of the past but standards for the future.
“We pray that may the Almighty God continue to strengthen you as an Elder Statesman who is worthy of emulation and commendation.
“Congratulations, sir, and have a wonderful celebration”, the statement concluded.
