PDP Stalwart, Siji Ganiyu Declares Interest For Chairman, Ibarapa North LG, Hails Party’s Reconciliation Moves

A Stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu has commended the leadership of the party in the state over its reconciliatory move.

Sanitarian Ganiyu in a release by his media office applauded leaders of the party in the state under the guidance of Governor Seyi Makinde on setting up of a committee to carry out the step.

He stated that “this has shown that PDP in Oyo state under Governor Makinde is all embracing and ready to accommodate everyone not minding their stand in the recently held general elections in the state.”

He called on all aggrieved members of the party to take advantage of Windows of opportunity by the party and return to the fold in order to make the party more formidable even as local government election draws near.

Ganiyu who is the immediate past Provost of Oyo State College of Health Science And Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan emphasised the need for all members of the party to close ranks and be United.

According to Ganiyu ” the task of repositioning and sustaining the successes recorded during OmiTuntun 1.0 of Seyi Makinde administration is a task that must be supported by all members” the statement added.

It would be recalled that the leadership of PDP in Oyo State last week set up reconciliation committee to settle differences in the party.

Meanwhile, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu has *yielded to the plea of concerned stakeholders and residents of Ibarapa North Local Government to contest for the Chairman of the council area*.

Responding to questions from journalists, Ganiyu disclosed that with calls from several individuals and quarters, he has also decided to join Governor Makinde in moving the state forward, but now at the grassroots level.

He expressed his readiness to take GOVERNANCE to the doorstep of the people of the local government if given the opportunity to serve.
