Oyo LG Polls: Olaoluwa Assists Afijio Chairmanship, Councilorship Candidates With Cash Gifts

As Oyo State holds its Local Government elections on Saturday, April 27, 2024, a stalwart of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC and Chairman, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, Peter Abidemi Olaoluwa has supported the All Progressives Congress candidates for the position of Chairman, Afijio local government, Hon Tokunbo Bamiduro and councilorship candidates for ward 4, Hon Kehinde Alabi and ward 5, Hon Abidemi Quadri in the local government.

While presenting the cash gifts on behalf of Peter Olaoluwa, the secretary of the foundation, Rev Joseph Ademola Dopamu said the measure would make the party display a remarkable showing in the chairmanship and councilorship polls.

Olaoluwa appealed to the candidates to deploy the money for necessary logistics that would help the party wins all the seats in the local government.

He warned against complacency in the elections, saying no party should be underrated on the premise that all politics and elections are taken as local affairs.

He added that the step was taken to support the leadership of the party and what they have done regarding the elections.

“We all know that 2027 is fast approaching and nothing must be spared to ensure that APC gains traction and attachment with the people at the grassroots.

He said local government elections are the most important , because that tier of government is the closest to the people.

“I plead with you to take these elections serious, not only by winning all the seats, but to also promote our party at the grassroots level”, Olaoluwa stated.

Earlier, the Chairmanship candidate, Hon Tokunbo Bamiduro appreciated the donor for his generosity and promised to work more hard in mobilising voters in the area for the victory of the party during the election.

The brief events had in attendance leaders and executive of the party at Ward and local levels.
