Oyo Governor’s Close Ally Escapes Assassination Attempt
A close ally of the Oyo State Governor and People’s Democratic Stalwart in Oyo State, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja on Monday reportedly escaped “gunmen attack” at Yawiri area, Akobo Ibadan.
According to source who witnessed the sad incident, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja was on his way out from his Akobo, Ibadan when two men on a power bike knocked at the door glass of his car.
The assailants who were unable to identified Oladoja among the five people in the car later sped off after being challenged by Oladoja of their mission at the area.
One of the men was observed having a pistol well kept in a side pulse as they made their way out of the area as Olawale voice began to attract passers by within the area.
Olawale Oladoja who is also the Mogaji of Akinsola’s family compound with other occupants of his car pursued the men but later turned back and reported the case at Akobo Police station.
In a phone interview with our reporter, Oladoja confirmed the development and added that he has already informed relevant security agencies in the state.
Oladoja called on the state government and security agents to protect his life and that of his family from been killed by yet to be known assailants who are after his life.
