Monday March 27, 2023

The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, Oyo State Chapter, has expressed its condolences to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, over the death of his mother, Chief (Mrs.) Justina Ogundoyin.

A statement signed by the association’s Secretary, Ikeoluwa Oyetoro on behalf of the acting chairman, Com. ‘Lekan Sobowale and and made available to journalists in Ibadan by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Com. Adeola Badru, on Monday, also condoled the entire Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin Dynasty of Eruwa and the people of Ibarapaland in general, describing the death of Chief (Mrs.) Ogundoyin as a colossal loss to the town.

NACJ noted that the deceased, who was the Iyaloja-General of Ibarapaland, was a great heroine, who contributed immensely to the peace and development of Eruwa, noting that her death undoubtedly, left a great vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

“On behalf of NACJ, we wish to convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, over the death of his mother, Chief (Mrs.) Justina Ogundoyin.”

“She contributed immensely to the peace and development of Eruwa, just as she was a great example to be emulated by all.

“We treasure the wisdom and knowledge she shared with people around her as a heroin with humility and grace.”

“NACJ equally, expresses its condolences to the Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin Dynasty and the entire people of Ibarapaland and pray to God to grant repose to the soul of the late (Mrs.) Ogundoyin, who we would like to describe as a great piller for all she stood for and achieved as a wife, mother and community leader.”

“We encourage the speaker and his siblings to be strong and of good courage.”

“Death is a painful experience, but one cannot question the will of the Almighty, while we also pray to God to grant the entire Ogundoyin family the fortitude to bear this loss.”
