Okpebholo Suspends School Resumption Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has suspended the resumption of all public and private schools in Edo Central Senatorial District due to worsening security conditions in the area. The suspension, announced by Commissioner for Education, Paddy Iyamu, will remain in force until further notice.  This decision was taken to prioritize the safety and welfare of pupils, students, teachers, and other education stakeholders in the district. The suspension comes after a v!olent protest in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area, triggered by rising cases of k!dnapping and insecurty, left several people injurd and resulted in the vandal!zation of the palace of the Onojie of Ekpoma.
