One time right hand man and close associate of the winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chef Moshood Abiola, Alhaji Sufianu Kazeem said those calling for the Interim National Government are no doubt working to unsettle and cause crisis in the country.
Alhaji Kazeem who is also an Ibadan based Property business man said those inviting military to take over or Interim National Government are wicked, unpatriotic and retrogresive citizens.
“For those championing Interim National Govt they are “enemies of Nigeria”, which needs to be seriously Caution.
Su-Kazeem said this in a release on his behalf by his media office on Tuesday.
The elder stateman who was also in line of struggle with Late MKO abiola against the military government expresses surprise to such calls by people who he believes are not student of history or ignorants.
Alhaji Sufianu Kazeem also recalled in October 30, 1999 counselled the late legal luminary, Gani Fawehinmi on the need to discontinue his case then against Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was then the Lagos State Governor.
“Sometimes in October, 1999, immediately Salisu Buhari, the then House of Reps Speaker was removed, I granted an interview and in the interview, I advised Late Fawehinmi to discontinue his case with Tinubu, so my like for Tinubu didn’t begin today, it’s been over the years.”
He expressed displeasure in the way men of DSS is handling the development which if not well handled can degenerate into serious crisis.
He called on security agencies to be alert and protect the nations nascent democracy against any unnecessary agitations and protest.
He mphasised on the for those clamouring for such move to desist and join hands with President Mohammad Buhari in ensuring smooth transition come May 29, 2023.
