Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Anozie is Dead

The Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland and President of Non-Indigenes Traditional Council of Ibadan, Oyo State, Alex Anozie, has died at the age of 74.

Anozie reportedly died in his sleep at his Ososami residence in Ibadan, the state capital.

Chief Anozie hailed from Igboukwu, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State

One of his close associates, who did not want his name in print, told The PUNCH that the deceased did not manifest any sign of sickness.

He said, “The deceased lived his life in Ibadan and contributed immensely to the economic growth of the ancient town. He died on Tuesday in his sleep at his Ososami residence in Ibadan, the state capital.

“His remains have been taken to his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State for final burial.”

Recall that in April, 2022, it was reported that Eze Alex Anozie, lost his wife, Lolo Betsy.

She died in the early hours of Thursday at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan after a brief illness .

The late Betsy Anozie, a leader of women wing of Salvation Army Church died at 67.

A source said Lolo Betsy was rushed to the UCH after she developed complication, having been sick for some time .

Before his death, Eze Alex Anozie was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CONAC Optical Company, Ibadan.
