Oyo Governor Approves Provost, Other Principal Officers For OYSCOHEST

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE has approved the appointment of a seasoned Pharmacist and erudite Administrator, Pharmacist (Mrs) Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo as the Provost of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (Former School of Hygiene) Eleyele, Ibadan.
Other Principal Officers were also approved for appointment by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. These include the Registrar, Librarian, Bursar and the Director of Works. This is the first time the College will be having a full component of substantive Principal Officers.
The newly appointed Registrar is Mrs Oladupe Olatunde Ayoola while Mrs Adeola Adijat Olanase is now the College Bursar.
Mr Emmanuel Kayode Akinsoji is the Librarian and the new Director of Works is Engineer Ayokunmi Olatunde Ojerinde .
The appointments are for a single term of four years.
It would be recalled that the new Provost and the four other Principal Officers recently participated, alongside other applicants in a selection exercise conducted by the College Governing Council headed by Associate Professor Aaron Ola Ogundiwin.
Reacting to the appointment, the new Provost, Pharmacist (Mrs) Oluyemisi Oyewo on behalf of the others commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving their appointments, promising to ensure that the College becomes a world class College of Health Technology.
The OYSCOHEST Provost also thanked the College Governing Council under the leadership of Associate Professor Aaron Ola Ogundiwin for the confidence reposed in them to serve in their different positions.
She assured the Visitor to the College, that the newly confirmed Principal Officers will contribute immensely to the progress of the College .
Mrs Oyewo sought the cooperation of the management, staff and students of the College in ensuring the development of the College.
Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan. was established in 1933 as a training school for Sanitary Inspectors and was upgraded to a College in 2014.
The College is currently running nineteen academic programmes.
