This was at the 2025 International Youth Day celebration in Osogbo with the theme “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnership.” In his keynote, Engr. Agoro explained that youth empowerment must be seen as a strategic investment in Osun’s future. He called for the establishment of technology and innovation hubs, a Youth Development Fund, and stronger youth–industry partnerships. Engr. Agoro expressed deep gratitude for the honor and pledged to further champion youth causes in the state: “This investiture is not just a personal recognition; it is a call to greater service. I dedicate this honor to the vibrant young people of Osun State, whose resilience and creativity continue to inspire us all. “As Patron of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, I will work closely with government, industry, and development partners to open more doors of opportunity for our youth. Together, we will ensure that the dreams of Osun youth translate into tangible achievements that uplift our state and our nation.” In his goodwill message, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Commissioner for Youth Affairs, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth-focused policies, praising their resilience and innovation. Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Àjàyí, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesha, urged young people to blend innovation with discipline, while upholding cultural values as the bedrock of sustainable progress. Captains of industry at the event pledged stronger support for youth-led ventures through mentorship, funding, and partnerships. The celebration concluded with optimism and renewed commitment, as stakeholders affirmed that Osun youth are not just beneficiaries of development but active leaders and partners in building a prosperous future for the state and Nigeria at large. The high-profile event was graced by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Àjàyí (Arowotawaya II), the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesha Kingdom, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, other distinguished royal fathers, top government officials, and captains of industry.

Ibadan Central Hospital Doctor, Others Regain Freedom After 6Days In Detention Over Alleged Attack On the Corpse Of A 91Year-Old Woman

A Former President, Ibadan College of the Alumni Association, worldwide and erstwhile Chairman of the board of directors, University of Ibadan Ventures Limited, Dr Abib Olamitoye on Wednesday thanked Nigerian masses for standing firmly behind him over recent alleged sabotage and malicious damage being done on Radio and Social Media by those hellbent on pulling him down.

Olamitoye, the owner of four biggest private hospitals in the Southwestern part of Nigeria, who broke his silence vide the hospital’s verified Facebook handle (Ibadan Central Hospital) on Wednesday afternoon said he was relieved for the first time in the month of November.

Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Health and Co-partner, Abib Olamitoye Foundation Ward, UCH, Ibadan was quoted by the hospital as thanking God for the release of hospital’s staffers in police custody since the alleged attack on the corpse of a 91year-old woman who died in the hospital recently.

“Last night, I slept soundly for the first time this November. Today is November 9th, 2022.

“The last eight days have witnessed sabotage and a malicious attack on Ibadan Central Hospital. To the glory of God, all the staff members that were apprehended have regained their freedom.

“With the redirection of my mind from the damage being done on radio, the social media attack of our brand and the news of woes being peddled, the burden I felt dropped. I went to bed light hearted and slept soundly. I give God the glory.

“At 65, after establishing the two biggest private hospitals South West of Lagos, and the two biggest private hospitals in Ibadan, having authored 23 books to help different people from various walks of life develop themselves and create wealth, and having various other companies both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, which employ over 500 staffers, I thank God for a fulfilled life.

“Relief is, indeed, healing.

“I thank all of you who believe in my sterling integrity, spartan discipline and impeccable character. I thank you all for your support and and encouragement.

“Yes, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel and I look forward to continued impact in the society and the world at large,” the Chairman, Ibadan Central Hospital stated this in his reaction to the incident.
