Dino Melaye Called to Bar, Joins Ranks of Nigeria’s Newest Lawyers

Former senator and political figure, Dino Melaye, was officially called to the Nigerian Bar on Thursday in Abuja, marking a new chapter in his career. Clad in his legal robes, Melaye joined hundreds of aspiring lawyers at the Nigerian Law School’s Call to Bar ceremony, where he took the oath and pledged to uphold the ethics of the legal profession.

The ceremony, held at the Body of Benchers Complex, attracted dignitaries, family members, and legal luminaries who gathered to witness the transition of the latest batch of law graduates into the legal fold. Melaye’s appearance drew significant attention, with many applauding his academic determination after years in public service.

Having previously served as a member of the House of Representatives and the Senate, Melaye now adds the legal title of “Barrister” to his portfolio. His call to the Bar has sparked congratulatory messages across social media, as supporters hail his reinve
