2024 International Women’s Day: No Investment Too Much On Women– NAWOJ B Zone Advocates

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) B ZONE says, there is no investment in women that is too much or a waste.

NAWOJ believes investing in women will accelerate the desired progress in the nation.

NAWOJ B ZONE states this in a statement to mark 2024 International Women’s Day celebration with it’s theme, Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress .

International Women’s Day was established to honor women and their existence after years of oppression.

The statement signed by the Zone’s Vice Chairperson, Adeola Adekunle and the Zonal Secretary, Adeola Adewole adds that the role of women in national development cannot be overemphasized as they are saddled with enormous tasks both at the home front and work place.

Comrade Adeola calls on the government and all relevant stakeholders to join hands in investing on women’s education, Healthcare, economic empowerment and leadership development to accelerate progress towards gender equality.

She congratulates Women on this year’s celebration for their resilience and commitment towards nation building.
