Vigilante Group of Nigeria Condemn Invasion Of Oyo Gov’t Secretariat
The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Command have described the attack on Oyo State Governor’s Office and the Oyo State House of Assembly by suspected O’odua Nation agitators as reckless and unwarranted.
In a release made available to journalists through its Zonal Commander, Prince Ayetan Ajibola explained that the attack at this time is a threat to the Nation’s nascent democracy.
The group expressed its displeasure to devilish attitudes of the so called Yoruba nation agitators at a time a Yoruba man is the President of the country.
“The unnecessary and unreasonable attack on Oyo State government seat of power can only be likened to an act of terrorism by this unscrupulous element claiming to be agitators.
“How can anyone in his or her right senses claimed to be agitators of a particular society when someone from your tribe is leading the nation. It is unthinkable and not in good conscience.”
It added that Oyo State Secretariat and House of Assembly is an historic monument in Nigeria which must be well respected by any Yoruba man of good value.
It would be recalled that some masked men in army camouflage with rifles claiming to be Yoruba Nation agitators on Saturday stormed the Oyo State Government Secretariat.
The group demanded for an intensive probe to unravel the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident
