..2003 theatre arts sets to present school sandals to indigent students in Oyo

The Provost, Federal College of Education (SP), Oyo, Dr Ademola Salami has advocated the need for old students of Federal College of Education (SP), Oyo to give back to the school that produced them in other to ensure continuity of development.

Dr Salami made this call while receiving members of the 2003 Theatre Art Students who paid him a courtesy visit at his office.

The Provost stated that the task of bringing more development to the school should not be left in the hands of government and management alone hence the need for old students to return and contribute their quota.

He commended the 2003 set of Theatre Art for their plans and readiness to give back to the college even after many years they had left the school.

He stressed that there should be healthy rivalry among various sets of old students desirous of making impacts in the schools that produced them.

In his remark,the head of department Theatre Art, Tunji Aikomo called on all the old students to continue to support the school to enable it achieve all its lofty ideas in a conducive and friendly environment.

He added that Theatre Art under his watch will experience turnaround both academically and the practical aspect for the students.

The leader of the team, Saheed Fawenda appreciated the Provost for various developmental projects across the college especially in the department of Theatre Arts.

Fawenda on behalf of the visiting old students used the occasion to inform the Provost and management that the 2003 set will be distributing school sandals to indigent students in selected schools in Oyo as a way of giving back to society and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Others on the team included Arisekola Adedeji, Gbenga Sunday and Rotimi Adeleke.
