
*Oyo NUJ Congratulates Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, at 39*
Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, on the occasion of his 39th birthday, describing him as an outstanding legislator and symbol of youth leadership in governance.
The Union gave the commendation in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Akeem Abas, and Secretary, Temidayo Adu, and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
According to the statement, Hon. Ogundoyin’s emergence and sustained leadership as Speaker have continued to reflect political maturity, administrative competence, and commitment to democratic ideals in Oyo State.
The Council noted that under his stewardship, the House of Assembly has recorded legislative stability, harmonious executive-legislative relations, and the passage of people-oriented bills aimed at improving governance and service delivery.
Oyo NUJ also applauded the Speaker’s support for media development, press freedom, and his accessibility to journalists, describing him as a media-friendly public office holder who recognizes the role of the press in deepening democracy.
It further extolled his advocacy for youth inclusion in politics and leadership, stressing that his achievements at a relatively young age remain a source of inspiration to emerging leaders across the state and beyond.
The statement added that the Speaker’s dedication to constituency development and grassroots engagement has strengthened public confidence in the legislative institution.
