This was at the 2025 International Youth Day celebration in Osogbo with the theme “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnership.” In his keynote, Engr. Agoro explained that youth empowerment must be seen as a strategic investment in Osun’s future. He called for the establishment of technology and innovation hubs, a Youth Development Fund, and stronger youth–industry partnerships. Engr. Agoro expressed deep gratitude for the honor and pledged to further champion youth causes in the state: “This investiture is not just a personal recognition; it is a call to greater service. I dedicate this honor to the vibrant young people of Osun State, whose resilience and creativity continue to inspire us all. “As Patron of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, I will work closely with government, industry, and development partners to open more doors of opportunity for our youth. Together, we will ensure that the dreams of Osun youth translate into tangible achievements that uplift our state and our nation.” In his goodwill message, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Commissioner for Youth Affairs, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth-focused policies, praising their resilience and innovation. Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Àjàyí, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesha, urged young people to blend innovation with discipline, while upholding cultural values as the bedrock of sustainable progress. Captains of industry at the event pledged stronger support for youth-led ventures through mentorship, funding, and partnerships. The celebration concluded with optimism and renewed commitment, as stakeholders affirmed that Osun youth are not just beneficiaries of development but active leaders and partners in building a prosperous future for the state and Nigeria at large. The high-profile event was graced by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Àjàyí (Arowotawaya II), the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesha Kingdom, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, other distinguished royal fathers, top government officials, and captains of industry.

Oyo Christian Journalists Congratulates Oduola, Babalola On Elevation to Permanent Secretary

The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ), Oyo State Chapter, has celebrated the elevations of two esteemed members of the Christian community, Pastor Adeola Oduola and Mr. Rotimi Babalola, to the prestigious positions of Permanent Secretary by Governor ‘Seyi Makinde.

In a statement issued on behalf of the chairman, Com. Lekan Sobo Sobowale, by the Public Relations Officer, Com. Adeola Badru, the NACJ expressed immense pride in the achievements of these exemplary individuals.

According to the statement, their dedication, hard work, and unavowed commitment to service have not only contributed to the progress of the Oyo State government but have also set a commendable standard for others to follow.

The statement added that the momentous occasion not only reflects their hard work and dedication to public service but also serves as an inspiring testament to the values of faith and commitment that they embody.

“Pastor Adeola Oduola is known for his spiritual leadership and community engagement and has consistently demonstrated a passion for uplifting others and fostering positive change. His promotion is a testament to his exceptional skills, integrity, and the profound impact he has made in his previous roles.”

“Similarly, Mr. Rotimi Babalola is a diligent professional who has shown remarkable dedication to his duties within the state government with his wealth of experience.”

“His strategic vision and commitment to excellence have played a significant role in advancing the goals of the Oyo State administration,” the statement noted.

The NACJ, however, called on all members and the broader community to join in celebrating these two outstanding individuals, adding that their promotions not only reflect their personal achievements but also highlight the importance of faith, integrity, and professionalism in public service.

“As we honour Pastor Oduola and Mr. Babalola, we encourage them to continue their exemplary service, inspiring others to reach for greatness and uphold the values of hard work, dedication, and faith,” the statement charged.
