Ogun Group Congratulates Governor Dapo Abiodun Over FG Adoption of TASUED as Federal University
Ogun State Solidarity Movement (OSM) had congratulated the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the adoption of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) as a federal institution.
OSM in a statement by his President , Lekan Shobo Shobowale, in Abeokuta , the state capital on Monday, stated that the development becones another great success of the Dapo Abiodun led administration in the state.
OSM, in the statement by its President, said the move by the Federal Government will bring rapid development and national and international recognition to the institution.
It said the Ogun State Government’s sustained efforts in ensuring quality and sterling investment not only at TASUED but in all its tertiary institutions, which has made the decision by the federal government possible.
The group also commended the state commissioner for education, Abayomi Arigbabu , a former Vice Chancellor of the University, for his commitment to the overall development of education in the state.
The Federal Government had officially adopted TASUED as a Federal University, marking a significant milestone for Nigeria’s first specialized university of education.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the transition on Friday, following an invitation from the Ogun State Government.
