One of the Six All Progressive Congress Governorship Aspirants in Oyo State, PRINCE(Dr) Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has described the electoral victory of Governor Seyi Makinde during Saturday’s Election as unexpected end to Godfatherism and “Jagbaism “in the state.
Adeduntan who is also the Osi Basorun of Ibadanland & an international cardiovascular surgeon,said the people of Oyo state have demonstrated ,what a true democracy entails.
“I congratulate my brother Engr Seyi Makinde, on his
victory at the just concluded gubernatorial poll in Oyo State.
“I want to urge Makinde to see his victory as a call to
service by the people of Oyo State ,even beyond what he did during his first term.
“Also, I commend the people of Oyo State for the peace and orderliness before, during and after the election.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),
the security agencies and all stakeholders deserve
commendations for jobs well done”.
Adeduntan stated that henceforth, fraudulent politicians all over the state,would have learnt their lessons, possibly in a bitter way and Oyo State would be better for it.
