Late Olubadan, Olalekan Balogun Was ‘A Visionary And Committed Leader’ – Olaoluwa Mourns Olubadan Of Ibadan

A Stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Peter Olaoluwa has mourned the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun who passed away on Thursday night at 82.

Olaoluwa in a statement by his Media office in Ibadan commiserated with the government and people of Oyo State, the Royal Family, the Olubadan-in-council, the President General CCII, Ibadan indigene and described the late monarch as a visionary and committed first class king.

Olaoluwa stated that the late Kabiyesi was a visionary and patriotic leader, who used the spheres of his influence as a respected traditional ruler and a lover of knowledge to advance the progress of his people, encouraging and motivating them to give their best in their daily endeavors.

He noted that the Olubadan’s demise leaves a huge gap to fill but implores the people of Ibadan and Nigerians to honour the memory of the late monarch by imbibing the virtues he cherished so much.

Olaoluwa highlighted the virtues to include generosity, peace, tolerance, and devotion to unity.

He described the late monarch as an exemplar in royalty, adding that Nigeria and entire humanity will miss the late first class king who had shown commitment to give his all for a better society.

He stressed the need for a successor to be guided by wisdom, understanding, and good judgment that exemplified the life he lived.

He prayed that God would grant the soul of Oba Balogun eternal rest and comfort the family, friends, associates, and subjects he left behind.
