Lana Congratulates Olakulehin On Nomination As 43rd Olubadan

A member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, Barrister Michael Lana, has congratulated the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on his nomination as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, by members of the Olubadan-in-Council.

Lana, in a congratulatory message he personally signed, said the nomination is a welcome development and victory for all Ibadan people, stating that it showed that the cherished tradition of Ibadan traditional system is alive and has come to say.

He gave glory to God for allowing Oba Olakulehin to scale all the hurdles placed on his way, maintaining that the nomination has further confirmed that he has been able to fulfill destiny of occupying the throne of his forefathers.

The former Oyo State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, lauded the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rasheed Ladoja, for being level headed, showing leadership and maturity and earning the respect of all indigenes and non-indigenes of Ibadan alike, noting that he is a worthy son of Ibadanland who at all times put the interest of Ibadanland in the front burner.

Lana similarly thanked the Asiwaju of Ibadanland, Chief Bode Amao and other Ibadan elders who heeded his clarion call to wade in and settle all issues that could impede the nomination of new Olubadan, noting that they have all shown that with unity of purpose Ibadanland would enjoy its needed peace and tranquility.

He then enjoined all chiefs and indigenes to rally round Oba Olakulehin to ensure a smooth enthronement and success on the throne, stating that the incoming 43rd Olubadan needs the support of all for the progress and development of Ibadanland.

Lana said, “I want to sincerely congratulate our dear father, the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on his nomination as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland by members of the Olubadan-in-Council.

“This nomination a product of many prominent and illustrious Ibadan indigenes that include High Chief Rasheed Ladoja and Chief Bode Amao, is a victory for Ibadanland and the cherished Ibadan traditional chieftaincy system.

“My appeal however is that it is incumbent on all Ibadan sons and daughters to support Oba Olakulehin towards ensuring a hitch free coronation and successful reign.”
