Israel/Hamas War: Oyo State IDFP Holds Seminar On Wednesday

The Oyo state chapter of Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace (IDFP) will on Wednesday, 29th November Holds a seminar/talk on the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza.

The Programme tagged “Israel/Hamas War Not Christian/Muslim War” is organized by the Forum which is an indigenous interfaith, NGO of religious leaders that was founded and funded by King Abdullah in Abdul Aziz Center for inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue (KACIID) since Jan 2017.

The Oyo state chapter of IDFP was inaugurated on 22nd of January 2021 with 13 members executives spread across the 2 dominant religious Christianity and Islam with representative of security agents and the Government.

IDFP objective is to foster peaceful co-existence between all religious and ethnic groups and the general well being of Nigeria Society, using the strategy of early warning and early response.

The forum is being co-chaired by Rev’d olusegun Olaobaju and Barr. Lawal.

The programme put together to enlighten religious leaders in the state not to see the situation in Israel and Gaza as war between Christianity and Islam.

Religious leaders across Oyo state is to attend the programme with Prof. Hafiz Oladosu of the University of Ibadan and Dr. Job Okunoye from Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo will be the resource persons. Venue of the programme is Christian Association of Nigeria , Oyo State chapter Secretariat, Ijokodo, Ibadan and Time is 10am prompt.
