Investor Urges Improved Infrastructure To Boost Investment

Ayonitemi Kareem Abeokuta

In a bold move to showcase Nigeria’s investment potential, Canadian businessman Oluwafemi Ayeyemi has invested over a huge sum of naira in a luxury hotel project in Abeokuta.

The project, which is expected to be completed by October 30, 2025, has created employment opportunities for over 300 people and is poised to significantly boost economic activity in the area.

Speaking during a project tour, Ayeyemi called on the government to improve infrastructure, particularly roads, to encourage investments and privatization.

He emphasized the need for security and stability to attract investors, citing the poor state of roads leading to the hotel as a major challenge.

The 62-room luxury hotel will feature modern amenities, including a swimming pool, spa and gym centre, industrial air conditioning system, and a 2,500-capacity event centre.

According to him, the hotel is expected to create 60-100 jobs once it’s operational.

His wife, Elizabeth, revealed that the hotel plans to hire only Nigerians to work in the hotel.
