Ibadan Explosion: VGN Commander-General, Jahun Visits Scene
Following the Tuesday night explosion that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to it’s foundation, explosion that rocked Bodija, the national leadership of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria delegation led by it’s Commander-General, Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun on Saturday visited the Dejo Oyelese scene of the incident.
The Commander General who was in Ibadan for a one day security summit was accompanied to the scene by top leaders of the group.
While Commiserating with the affected families at the scene, Jahun described the incident as sad and will remain unforgettable in the history of Ibadan just like the then Flood disaster in Ibadan many years ago.
He emphasised on the need for residents to be security conscious and reports whatever they observed in their vicinity.
Jahun assured that members of the group are ready to join hands with conventional security agencies to forestall such bad occurrences.
He then prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and pray for those that lost their property that God should restore all they had lost.
The Commander General commended the state Governor, Seyi Makinde for his proactive step since the incident happened.
