Tuesday October 17, 2023

The Federal Executive Council on Monday presided over by President Bola Tinubu, through the Hon Minister of Works, Dave Umahi announced that Ogun State Govt has now been cleared by the Federal Government to rebuild Sango-Otta-Abeokuta express road and toll it.

This development came after Governor Dapo Abiodun request that the state can rebuild the road on its own if granted consession by the FG.

The minister said, “eight roads that were started by the past administration for a concession that have gone through all the processes were also approved. The financial closure will be reached in the month of November.

“There were nine actually but one was pulled out, that is Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta and that has been given to the Ogun State government based on their request that they should do the road on their own and they will follow the HDMI that is Hardware Development Management Initiative.”

Ogun State Government will rebuild the road and toll it.
