
Ahead 2027 Oyo Governorship Contest, Adeduntan Inaugurates Committee To Actualise Ambition
As race to who becomes the governor of Oyo State in 2027 hots up, a former health Commissioner and Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland, Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has inaugurated executives of his campaign outfit, “Make Oyo Great Again (MOGA).”. >
The inauguration marked the official commencement of the movement’s operational structure, with carefully selected leaders positioned to drive the MOGA agenda across all zones of Oyo State.
The ceremony reflected the movement’s commitment to strategic organization and grassroots mobilization as it prepares to engage citizens on critical developmental issues. Hon. Adesina Taofiq was formally installed as Chairman of the movement, bringing his extensive experience and leadership acumen to guide the organization’s activities.
In his address to the newly inaugurated executive members, Chief Dr. Adeduntan outlined an ambitious yet achievable vision for Oyo State. He solemnly pledged to govern with integrity, competence, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of all citizens.
“My administration will prioritize the transformation of Oyo State into a modern, prosperous city where every resident can thrive and realize their full potential,” Dr. Adeduntan declared to enthusiastic applause. > The former Health Commissioner emphasized that the task ahead requires collective effort and dedication from all members of the movement. He charged the executive members and zonal coordinators to serve as evangelists of the MOGA vision, taking the message of hope, development, and progressive governance to every community, hamlet, and household across Oyo State.
“Your role is not merely administrative; you are ambassadors of transformation and agents of change,” he stressed. > Dr. Adeduntan further articulated his conviction that Oyo State deserves better and can achieve greatness through visionary leadership, strategic planning, and inclusive governance.
He called on all well-meaning citizens of the state to join the movement in its mission to rescue Oyo State from its current challenges and position it for sustainable growth and development.
The MOGA philosophy, he explained, is rooted in accountability, transparency, and people-centered policies that will address education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, and economic empowerment.
