Authentic Ibadan Mogajis Demands Akande’s Apology In Seven Days
Following a comment credited to the former governor of Osun state, Chief Bisi Akande over the role played by the former governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in the death and court proceedings of the case, the Authentic Mogajis of Ibadanland on Tuesday demanded a public apology from former Chief Bisi Akande over his comment.
The forum in a statement by its spokesperson, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja on Monday said, Oba Ladoja is a respected monarch in Ibadanland who over the years has stand for justice and fairness in all his life.
It described the statement by Chief Akande as unfortunate and unbeffiting of an elderstateman and former governor.
Authentic Mogajis of Ibadan disclosed that Chief Bisi Akande must withdraw his claims and apologise not only to Oba Ladoja but the entire Indigenes of Ibadanland or be ready to face the wrath of all Ibadan sons and daughters.
The group further stated that he is standing in Solidarity with Oba Ladoja and will not hesitate to lead all sons and daughters of Ibadanland to take decisive steps to absolve and defend his monarch of anything that may targeted to dirt his integrity and credibility.
It was reported that Akande, in a recent podcast by ace journalist, Edmund Obilo, which was released at the weekend, asserted that Ladoja possibly has vital information regarding Bola Ige’s murder.
Ige was murdered on December 23, 2001 at his Bodija residence in Ibadan and the murder has yet to be resolved 24 years after.
