Shun Protest, Let’s Continue To Support President Tinubu’s Government – Mogaji Abiodun
The Mogaji Olubadan, Lato’s Compound, Labo, Ibadan, Mogaji (Prof) Abiodun Gbolagade has called on Nigerians to shun any planned protest and continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Mogaji Abiodun made this call at his office in Ibadan during an interactive session with journalists on the proposed protest scheduled to hold in August 1, 2024.
The University Don expressed displeasure to some political stakeholders in the country for fanning embers of disunity describing such as unpatriotic and not having the love of the people at heart.
He said what the nation needs now is peace and tranquillity for the current government to find its feet and delivered the goodies of democracy to Nigeria.
Mogaji Gbolagade Abiodun emphasised the need for all Nigerians to rally round President Tinubu to do more in the interest of ordinary Nigerians.
He highlighted various interventions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since coming on board prominent among which included increased in allocation to states and local government to cater for their people, massive infrastructural development across the country, removal of taxes on various food items, continue distribution food palliatives to states, recent introduction of students loan to help ease the burden of finances on the parents.
Mogaji Abiodun also described the recent financial autonomy granted local government by the Supreme court initiated by the federal government as a monumental achievement adding that the list are just too many to mentioned.
”What President Tinubu has done in the last fourteen months are is unprecedented in the anals of history of Nigeria. He has recoded great success in piloting the affairs of Nigeria.
”There are economic challenges all across the globe and not only in Nigeria, we should even be thanking God fr granting our leaders wisdom to do many of these they are doing to at least bring relief to the ways of ordinary Nigerians.
”What we need now is to endure and continue to pray for our leaders not to be derailed or be distracted in the line of duties and not any protest now.
”I wish to appeal to my people in Nigeria, Oyo state and Oluyole constituency especially to continue to trust in the ability of our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead us out of this critical period. Let’s remain calm and peaceful and go about our lawful business, May God bless us all, he concluded.
