Adeduntan Pleads Against Anti-Govt Protest, Beg Nigerians To Give Tinubu More Time

Dr.Azeez.Popoola Adeduntan on Wednesday appealed to Nigerians to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu more time and shelve next month planned protest.
Adeduntan -a screened and cleared APC governorship aspirant during the 2023 primary election of Oyo State APC stated this in a release through his media office in Ibadan.
He said in addressing the economic situation of the country, many efforts must be put in place and allow to come into reality.noting that protest may not be the right step now.
He appealed to the proponents of the nationwide protest, to maintain peace, eschew violence and open windows for meaningful engagements with the governments at all levels in order to address their issues.
There have been reports of an impending nationwide mass protest by youths, to express displeasure about the hardship in the country, reflected in the high cost of living, food scarcity, unemployment and so on.
A viral flier on social media announced a nationwide protest scheduled for August 1 over the hardship in the country.
The revered cardio vascular surgeon said though Nigerians have the constitutional right to demand better living conditions, he appealed to the youths.to give the government a chance to fix the challenges facing the nation.

to protest against his administration vis a vis the economic imbalance brought about by the last administration,necessary subsidies removal,the war in UKRAINE,the insecurity caused by FULANI herders and farmer issues,
Kidnappings,banditry ,armed robbery and cost of living problems all over the world including USA,UK ,France etc.
He urged them to consider a different path, a path of patience, dialogue, and collaboration, prioritise peace and open channels for meaningful engagements with the government at all levels.
