The Church Auditorium brimmed with joy, color, and spirituality as hymns of praise rose like incense, sealing the legacy of divine grace that has accompanied the Cathedral’s journey since inception.
Among the galaxy of distinguished guests was the Justice Deinde Soremi, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Surv. Bode Adeaga JP renowned surveyor and Prince of Owu Kingdom, and immediate past Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola OFR, who graced the epochal thanksgiving as the Special Guest of Honor. His presence added an extraordinary aura of peace, humility, and unity to the sacred event.
In a profoundly touching remark, His Eminence Most Elder Apostle Joseph Olubode Popoola JP extolled Ambassador Isola’s exemplary contributions to interfaith understanding in Ogun State and beyond. Despite being a devoted Muslim, Ambassador Sarafa, during his tenure as Secretary to the Ogun State Government, played a pivotal role in strengthening the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State Chapter—a role that remains legendary for fairness and equity.
According to the Primate and Founder of the Church, “Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola OFR exemplifies a divine ambassador of peace—one who sees humanity and service beyond parochialism.” His consistent support for Christian causes, continues to testify to his rare brand of religious inclusivity and human-centered leadership.
The congregation witnessed an electrifying and unforgettable moment when Ambassador Sarafa, before his goodwill message, led the gathering in a soul-stirring Christian hymn. The entire auditorium erupted in admiration and applause, overwhelmed by the grace and humility of a man whose spirit transcends religious boundaries. Timothy Olusegun Akosile and Rev. Segun Adenekan were elevated to the exalted rank of Apostle while Rev. Niyi Adebowale was decorated as a Reverend Prophet.
