
Retirement: Gliz and Glamour As Former Immigration Boss In Delta Bows Out
.. executed, commissioned landmark projects in six months
It was time of celebration and appreciation to God as men and officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Delta State command joined their outgone comptroller, Oyebode Olayinka Odesola, his immediate family and relatives as they marked his outstanding retirement with Thanksgiving to Almighty God.
Addressing men and officers of the command at it’s Asaba Headquarters, Comptroller Odesola counselled then to put the Nation first in all they do and contributes their quota to National development.
He said Nigeria Immigration Service remains an important paramilitary agency in Nigeria and it is necessary for personnel to maintain and sustain its enviable standard.
He highlighted some of the projects embarked upon within his short stay in office to the cooperation of personnel, Immigration Officers Wives Association and support by the service comptroller General, Kemi Nanna Nandap whose new health centre was named after.
He said other projects which included refurbishment of quarter guards, refurbishment of command vehicles, free medical outreach to men and officers of the command and people of the environs, diabetes test, distribution of malaria nets and empowerment of women were all geared to improved welfare of its officers.
The comptroller called on personnel not to let down the guards but continue to pursue the agenda which the immigration service was known for, adding that the service will continue to wax stronger.
Present at the event included the wife of the outgone comptroller, Christie Odesola (Angels), senior personnel of the command among others.
