2027 Gubernatorial Election: What I Saw About Femi Hamzat, APC in Lagos State – Primate Ayodele
In a recent video on Facebook, Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has weighed in on the political landscape in Lagos State, expressing support for Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat while predicting a competitive contest within the All Progressives Congress.
Ayodele described Hamzat as a capable figure within the ruling party in Lagos, noting that his leadership qualities could influence the direction of the state’s politics. He emphasized that the deputy governor possesses the attributes needed to perform effectively if given a higher responsibility.
According to Ayodele, “Femi Hamzat is fit, and he is good for Lagos APC.” He added that while Hamzat may have strong credentials, the political terrain would not be without challenges.
He said, “It is going to be a tough contest for the position. Even with his strength, there will still be struggles within the party.” The cleric maintained that internal competition in the APC would play a significant role in determining the eventual outcome.
Ayodele further stated, “Femi Hamzat is a good man, and he has what it takes to make an impact.” He clarified that his comments were specifically focused on Lagos politics, stressing the uniqueness of the state’s political dynamics.
“I am talking about Lagos, not any other state. This is my base,” he said, highlighting his familiarity with the political environment in the state.
In a comparative remark, Ayodele suggested that Hamzat could offer a different leadership approach, stating, “With Femi Hamzat, many things can change.”
