In its fight against insecurity in the state, the new commandant of Oyo State NSCDC, CC ADARALEWA MICHAEL AKINTAYO hosted the Commissioner of Police CP Ngozi Onadeko fdc and State Director of the DSS who in her statement commended the effort of the officers and men of Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo state command .

The services commander made these known today during a courtesy visit to the new oyo Commandant of the NSCDC at the command headquarters Agodi, Ibadan, the state capital.

In her remarks, the Director of DSS praise the management of NSCDC for creation of Agro Rangers whose activities had boosted food security in Nigeria and intelligence sharing from grassroot. She added that the officers are very active,passionate, hardworking and professional in discharging their duties.

I have watch closely your proactiveness in the fight against crime and criminalities in the state especially in the areas of Crisis management,Agro Rangers,Protection against oil pipeline vandalism, child trafficking and supervision of Private Guard Companies, “She said”.

Going forward, the Commissioner of Police CP Ngozi Onadeko stated that there is no rancour or rivalry between the NSCDC and Nigeria Police Force. She pleaded that the officers should see themselves as brothers and sisters who are tasked with the same course of protecting lives and properties of both indigenes and residents of the state .

Commandant Adaralewa Michael in his response, appreciated the heads of the two organizations and promised to sustain and surpass the existing relationship between NSCDC and other agencies in the state as handed over to him by his predecessor, stressing that he has come to Oyo state to work and and fight criminalities.

In another development ,the commandant charged the operatives in Agro Rangers Unit of the command that it is their responsibility to ensure food security by protecting and mediating between herders and farmers in oyo state.

He urged the government and good people of oyo state to support NSCDC with information and logistics to fight crime and criminalities in the state.
