The Elder brother to the late popular Ibadan politician, Late Hon Temitope Olatoye Sugar, Olajide Olatoye popularly called BigDaddySugar has eulogised the great work of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde in the last two years.
Olajide Olatoye who is a senior priest at the Celestial Church of Christ, Oluwaseun Parish, Akobo Ibadan stated this while addressing members of the church during the church 23rd anniversary.
BigDaddySugar who is also a member, Board of Director, Boadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) explained that what the immediate past administration can not do in eight years, Governor Makinde has done in the last two years.
He made a specific reference to the prompt payment of workers salary as well as payment of gratuities and pensions by Seyi Makinde which no administration has done since 1999.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has done excellently well in all areas of governance especially infrastructure and welfare of workers. As a pensioner myself, every 25th of every month, I receive my pension and we can’t just thank Governor Makinde enough.
Let me assured our Governor that with the support of the people of the state, he is coming back again and he will spend his eight year and after that, he’s becoming the President of Nigeria.”
Present at the event included Oyo State commissioner for public works, Prof Daud Sangodoyin, Oyo ALGON Chairman, Sikiru Sanda, Hon Olajide Akintunde, member representing Lagelu at the Oyo state House of Assembly, a close ally of Governor Makinde, Tunde Tijani, members of Lagelu local government legislative council, PDP leaders in Lagelu local government and many others.
