The Oyo State Chairman of ACOMORAN Com Solomon Olugbode has called on the state governor Engr Seyi Makinde to bring together all factions within in the Union state for more cohesive and vibrant union.
Comrade Olugbode made this plea in Ibadan while speaking with Nigerianalert news at his Total Garden, Ibadan office..
He said since coming on board as the Chairman few months ago, his leadership has organized orientations and seminars for all members.
The Chairman believes state Government can bring them together under one umbrella so as to join the forces of rapid development in the state
“Because we have a lot of unions and we also have people we refer to as Free Riders, those that are not under any associations even though they are contributing to devt.
“We’re into public work and this work we’re doing, a lot of people believe we’re nuisance and irresponsible which is a lie. We are responsible and decent men and it is the situation of the country that led us to this work we’re doing.”
Comrade Solomon Olugbode also added that “We have and we’re also maintaining a cordial relationship with the State government. The State government on the other hand is also always ready to listen to our complaints and to help us whenever there’s anything relating to Bikes and Tricycles.”
“We are law abiding citizens. Although, the ban isn’t fair on us but as long as it is a law from the authority, we have no choice but to obey. And since the day we’ve been banned from plying the route, none of our members violated it” he added, while briefing about the effect of the Agodi-Secretariat route ban.
