Story By Akinola Emmanuel

The former Lagos state governor and national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed has been described as the right successor for President Muhammadu Buhari come May, 29, 2023.

A member of ‘Ekiti APC Stakeholders’ against Governor Kayode Fayemi’s rumored presidential ambition, Hon Femi Adeleye stated this while speaking with journalists recently.

Hon Adeleye said Asiwaju Tinubu has succeeded in mentoring many great men across yorubaland including Governor Kayode Fayemi who is also proposing to be President adding that Asiwaju has invested massively in human development and has demonstrated over and again the capacity to manage human resources.

“In Yoruba land, their numbers are numerous. In Ekiti alone, I can mention Dr
Kayode Fayemi, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Mr Dele
Alake, who was then Commissioner under Tinubu in Lagos, Vice President Yemi
Osinbajo and so on.

So if you see somebody who has produced people who are great men today in their various fields, that person should be given the opportunity to lead this country.”

He stated that contrary to the APC, Ekiti State chapter that they are not aware of Tinubu’s presidential ambition, it has nothing to do with the actualization of Asiwaju becoming the President as Ekiti APC is not for somebody but for all members of the Party.

“If there would be a presidential primary today, I’m among the people that would vote. The PRO cannot vote because he’s a caretaker exco, those expected to vote are elected members of exco. What position has the PRO held? Has he been elected before? He never contested for the position in the dissolved exco, he was
appointed. We came out to contest, we did election”.
