The Ogun State Solidarity Movement (OSM) has appealed to youths and residents of sagamu in Ogun state to remain calm and allow full investigation into the untimely death of a Remo football star, Kazeem Tiamiyu on Saturday by men of Special Anti Robbery Square (SARS) ogun state.
The group while reacting to violent protest that erupted in Sagamu area of the state on Monday, following the death of Kazeeem Tiamiyu, who was allegedly killed by operatives of Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS).
In a release by the group acting spokesperson Damilola Adekanlu and made available to news men in Abeokuta the state capital on behalf of its acting President Lekan Shobowale, the group urged the youths to give peace a chance and cooperate with relevant security agents to conclude their investigation.
“OSM joined the government of Ogun state, the people of Sagamu and the entire people of Ogun state to condole with the family of the deceased in this trying times and pray to God to strengthen them.
“The death of this young footballer no doubt is a reminder of a failed society with less importance to the sanctity of human life’s with more unannounced and unnecessary deaths going round the nation.
The Ogun State Solidarity Movement calls for timely investigation of this matter as directed by the Inspector General of Police which should not be swept under carpet like many of its likes and bring the perpetrator to justice.
