The President, Christ The Light Gospel Church, Ibadan, Bishop Solomon Aremu has called on officers and members of the banned National Union Of Road And Transport Workers (NURTW ) Oyo state chapter to cooperate with the state governor Engr Seyi Makinde on the recently inaugurated park management initiative.
Bishop Aremu made this call during a chat with Nigeria Alert News on some issues as affecting the nation and Oyo State.
Bishop Aremu explained that it is important for transport union leaders agitating for one position or the other to see the governor as the overall leader and father in the state and by that respect his decision which he believes his the best to the state and in overall interest of the state.
The cleric emphasised for all factions within the union to ensure the state is peaceful and do not do any thing that can jeopardize the relative peace that state is currently enjoying under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
On the security issues in Nigeria, BishopAremu appealed to the federal government to be up and doing in the protection of lives and properties of the people guaranteed the freedom of every citizens of Nigeria irrespective of any visible differences.
He called on the governor’s of the south west who recently launched Westrn Nigeria Security Network codenamed “Operation Amotekun” to ensure the security outfit start work in earnest as there should not be any reason for its delay so as to match their words with actions.
